Chiropractic Patient Care Plan
The first step to convert a Prospex into a patient is the first visit: CONP exam and Full Spine radiographs. This visit is essential to determine the care your patient will need in another to enjoy a healthier and more active lifestyle.
After reviewing the results of the "test" and reading the X-rays, the next step is to determine the care the patient will need to optimize the desired result.
Now, most people would like a single adjustment ... delivered by mail. But, the reality is that most people who visit your office have spinal health problems that have been accumulating for years ... often since childhood.
Once you know what the patient needs, the next step is to create a plan for all the products and services the patient will need to live a pain-free life.
Depending on your philosophy, this could include chiropractic adjustments, stem therapy, massage therapy, rehabilitation sessions, orthotics, decompression, nutrition, and back / neck products from pillows to mattresses.
Once you have developed a plan, the next thing is to assign your rate schedule to the care program. Then, after checking the benefits, the expected insurance refund applies. Balance is the patient's responsibility.
At this point, you must make a decision. Offer the patient a fee for the service plan that allows you to pay as you go or a plan payment option.
If you want to deliver the best results for your patient, the plan's payment plan is your best option. With a fee for the mentality of the service, the patient can choose to abandon our attention "when he feels better". If your PVA is below 40, then you are probably using a fee for the service model of service.
People vote with their feet and, once they feel better and sleep well, they start missing appointments and do not respond to their recovery efforts. You lose insurance benefits and co-payments, co-insurance and optional patient services.
On the other hand, "package" the plan to include your recommendations and collect the balance of the patient's plan ... offering an incentive for prepayment ... and greatly increases the likelihood that the patient will remain in care for the care optimal that you have created
If the patient does not have insurance benefits, then your best option is a care plan.
By making patients "buy" the plan, you have improved patient compliance and have less difficulty in holding the patient responsible for their agreed-upon care program.
Not everyone will accept a prepaid care plan, but more than what you imagine. However, you must offer it to enjoy the benefits of moving from a service fee to a plan of care program.
